Hunting Together RPG First Hour Guide — What to Do First

Editorial contact: Raymond

Guide reviewed:

A checkpoint route for your first hour: class, codes, first hunt, first card and the decision to refine or wait. Use each checkpoint to decide whether to continue. Checked October 29, 2026.

Illustration of a first-hour checklist

This is a route, not a timer. Each checkpoint asks a question: is the class working, are the potions being used, is the route repeatable? Stop and adjust when the answer is no instead of pushing forward.

Checkpoints

The first-hour route

  1. 1. Checkpoint 1 — Pick a class you can read

Open the class list and choose a ranged or melee role you understand. Do not open every class screen and delay the first hunt; the class can be compared in more detail later.

  2. 2. Checkpoint 2 — Redeem the dated codes

Use the gift/code button and claim HALLOWEEN or the SORRY code whose expiry comes first. Only claim a one-hour potion if you can play for the hour.

  3. 3. Checkpoint 3 — Leave the village and hunt

Clear the forest monsters until the fight is predictable. Learn your attack range and how many hits a basic monster takes.

  4. 4. Checkpoint 4 — Test one card

Slot the first card that matches your role and re-run the same route. If the clear is slower or riskier, remove it and keep hunting for a better fit.

  5. 5. Checkpoint 5 — Stop before refinement

End the first hour with materials banked rather than spent. Refinement is the reward for a settled build, not a way to guess at one.

Branching

If the route does not fit

Class feels wrong

Switch to a role that matches your range preference before spending anything. A class you cannot play will not improve with gear.

Route feels slow

Drop one biome step, not the whole plan. Farm the earlier route for materials until the clear is stable.

Card looks wrong

Remove it and keep the previous card. A card that reduces your clear speed is not an upgrade.

Codes fail

Check spelling, expiry and whether the code was already used. Rejoin a fresh server before assuming a code is dead.

Common questions

FAQ

What should I do in the first ten minutes of Hunting Together RPG?

Choose a class, open the code menu and redeem the active potions, then leave the village and clear the first monsters. Do not refine anything yet.

Should I use the EXP potions immediately?

Only if you can stay for the full hour. The potion is a one-hour boost; claiming it and logging out a few minutes later wastes the reward.

When do I know the first route is finished?

When you can clear it repeatedly without using every potion and the drops still support your next upgrade. A single clear is not enough evidence.

Can I skip the story or tutorial?

The public listing does not describe a required tutorial length. If the game gives you an optional prompt, finish enough of it to unlock shops and party features before leaving.

What is the biggest first-hour mistake?

Spending refinement materials on a weapon you are not sure you will keep. The second biggest is slotting every card that drops instead of testing one change at a time.
